In a skit that was inevitable, Saturday Night Live decided to spoof the rumored romance between Kim Kardashian & Kanye West.
The episode, which aired over the weekend, was hosted by Josh Brolin, featured Nasim Pedrad (as Kardashian) and Jay Pharaoh (as West) weighing in on the Trayvon Martin case during an appearance on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight.
The highlight of the clip for me:
“I love this woman,” Pharoah’s West said. “As I said earlier this week, she’s my Beyonce.”
Pedrad’s Kardashian added: “Only without the singing, or the dancing or the acting. I’m a zero-threat!”
Last night on ‘Saturday Night Live’, Drake made his debut on the show & brought back his acting skills from his days as Jimmy on ‘Degrassi’.
In an interview earlier this week with MTV, Drake revealed that he literally begged to showcase his acting chops on the show:
“I’m dying to, man. I was begging,” he said about acting during the late-night sketch show. “I was begging everybody like, ‘Please let me get a skit. Please let me be involved in something.’ So I believe last word I got was that I’ll be working on something or doing something with the show other than performing.”
In Drake’s first skit, he took part in a (very literal) ‘Very Brief Interview’ with Andy Samberg, then he went on to ‘A Very Close Interview With Drake’ (which was also very literal). Hilarity ensues as Andy interviews Drake in a sarcastic interview, a racist interview, a wordless seduction clip & finally, an extremely dark interview.
Laugh along below:
Drake also played alongside the show’s newest cast member, Jay Pharaoh, for a skit in which he was a teenage werewolf — a rapping teenage werewolf. Watch as the two perform their Halloween-themed single, “Big Jackin”:
Must say that Drake did an amazing job showcasing his acting skills last night! How well do you think Drake performed as comedic actor?
