Contrary to reports released earlier this year, Pooch Hall will not be leaving the show that made him a household name.

During a recent club appearance in Toronto over the weekend, Cotten Kandi captured exclusive footage of the actor making his announcement that he’ll be returning to the hit BET show: 

While in attendance, Hall also offered to share his rapping abilities with the crowd:

Good to know…will you be watching the forthcoming season of “The Game”?

On last night’s fifth season finale of “The Game”, Melanie & Derwin said goodbye to the show in a touching manner.

In case you missed it, Melanie was offered an opportunity to work in the medical field that she couldn’t pass up. The only problem? The job was far away from home. Derwin then came up with a solution, stating:

“Figured with my schedule wide open, why not take that time, be on the sidelines rooting for my wife?”

Despite Tia Mowry & Pooch Hall’s departure from the show, it seems as though BET has renewed the show for a sixth season, minus the lead characters.

I’m aware that the show is a hit for the network, but I’m not sure how the show will fare without Melanie or Derwin (I still miss Kelly Pitts as well). Will you be watching in spite of the cast changes?

On last night’s episode of “The Game”, the show went back to it’s original format of 30 minutes, as well as an included laugh track (thank goodness!) & less over-the-top drama (more comedy).

In case you missed it, the episode features Malik’s money woes, more marital problems between Melanie & Derwin, the return of Irv (who hasn’t changed one bit), as well as Tasha Mack’s redemption.

Thoughts on “No Money, Mo Problems”?

The hour-long season premiere of “The Game” debuted last night to mixed reviews:

Thankfully, the fifth season kicked off exactly where it left off, with the reveal of Melanie’s abortion, Malik’s troubled girlfriend, Jason’s struggle with race relations & Tasha’s constant doubts about her son’s well-being. Also introduced to the show was Brandy, as a bartender named Chardonnay.

BET held a Hollywood premiere party at the Roosevelt Hotel last night, celebrating the return of “The Game” & “Let’s Stay Together”.

Stars such as Brandy, Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Kyla Pratt & Teyana Taylor were in attendance.

This look certainly stood out to me, as Teyana Taylor is certainly quite the trendsetter. I just wonder if her latest ensemble is fashion-forward? Would you give it a yay or a nay?

Since moving to BET, not only has the show brought in tremendous ratings, but also a more far-fetched storyline that some were opposed to — though it hasn’t stopped any of us from tuning in.
