I’ve recently been somewhat obsessed with the feather trend (I have about 6 pair so feather earrings in various colors), but I have yet to take my obsession to a more semi-permanent level.

In case you’ve been tuned out from the latest trends this summer, feather hair extensions are gaining popularity among women of all ages, backgrounds & ethnicities. It seems as though a feather or two (or three) gives a simple hairstyle ample flair.

I think this may be the next thing I try (a clip-in feather extension as opposed to a fusion). Are you willing to try feather hair extensions?

I can’t help but to love Gaga’s performance get-ups. Her body is also about 0% body fat (I’m exaggerating, but do you see any lumps or bumps?) with a toned booty to match.

“The Basketball Wives” were out & about last night, hosting an event on behalf of Chinese Laundry & filming for the forthcoming season of the show.

According to Stiletto Jill:

Thursday night at Tru in Hollywood, Shaunie O’Neal held the launch party for her shoe line (a collaboration with Chinese Laundry). As you would expect, the event was filmed for Basketball Wives.

In attendance were “The Circle” Evelyn, Jennifer, Suzie. Plus other Basketball wives, Monique Payton (wife of Gary Payton), Kimberli Russell (wife of Byron Russell and season 2 Basketball Wives cast mate), Tonya Williams (ex wife of Jayson Williams) and yours truly (and as far as I know, I managed to avoid the VH1 cameras).

The line is titled “Shaunie’s Must haves” and range in price from $79.95 to $200.00.

She also posed for photos pre-event with her beau, Marlon.

Glad to see the ladies out & about, looking good!

Though I’m wondering where Tami & Royce are in these shots, it’s good that Evelyn came out to support Shaunie, seeing as though she owns a shoe boutique it could potentially be seen as a conflict of interests/brands. What’s more, I love all of their entrepreneurial spirits.

Love the jumpsuit on her voluptuous figure. I would definitely rock this in a different color.

During our Monday broadcast on Power 98, the subject of ‘planking’ was brought into discussion, followed by cast members finding places around the studio to plank. I had no idea that this was a trend that has been in progress for a number of years, in fact, Americans are late.

In case you were unfamiliar on the planking craze (as I was days ago), the trend (which started in Japan) involves a person laying stiff, face down, on his or her stomach in an odd location — the stranger the location, the better. Then, the photo of the person, laying like a plank in these various locations, is then posted online, to Facebook or Twitter.

Though various celebrities are planking, the trend caught some flack when an Australian man died attempting to top his counterparts:

On May 15, 2011, Acton Beale, 20, fell seven stories from an apartment balcony in the Brisbane, Australia suburb of Kangaroo Point to his death (Source).

Not that I’d shy away from taking part in the trend, but I think being smart about it is a vital factor. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Last night Amber Rose hit the paparazzi-owned Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood for a photo opp & a chance to create her own shake.

The future reality television star also brought along her mother & Foxxhole Radio associate, Jamie Foxx.

Amber’s shake is entitled “The Amber Rose Blondie”, which she tweeted consists of ‘banana, white chocolate, pineapple, coconut & cookie dough’ — all of which are flavors that I love! Yummy!

Jamie Foxx also brought along his gorgeous daughter, Corrine.

Cute ‘fit! I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of this on her forthcoming show, “Behind Her Shades”.

Vashtie Kola’s style is impeccable. Ironically, so is her taste in interior decor.

The multi-faceted, self-starter recently opened the doors to her East Village NYC Apartment & shared her musings for Refinery 29.

On her current project:

“I’m fresh back from a trip to Trinidad where I worked on some special projects with legendary photographer Jonathan Mannion. Q-TIP and I are planning our new party in the city. Violette [Vashtie's clothing line] is in production for a couple of summer T-shirts with the re-launch of the website coming soon. I’m directing my first film at the end of the year/early next. I’m a brand Ambassador for Heineken. I started a new Tumblr which will be dedicated to vintage pieces that will be for sale on VioletteNewYork.com.”

On her style:

“”Wow, I had so many style inspirations growing up. For one, I wanted to dress like my big sister, Savie. She was seven years older than me and wore denim cut-offs, denim jackets, concert tees, and flipped her long curly tresses to one side. I was also inspired, growing up in the Hood by baggy jeans, Timbs, North Face Jackets, Polo, gold jewelry, and Rough Neck style. I was also obsessed with Nike and Jordans since they were the epitome of cool and represented wealth, none of which I had.”

On her dream collaborations:

“In music, I would absolutely love to work with Bjork. I’ve been a fan of hers since I was little. I also would love to work with Robyn, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Frank Ocean… too many to name really…In fashion, I’d love to collaborate with Supreme, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Rachel Roy, Pierre Hardy, Mark Fast, Jeffrey Campbell, Doc Martens, or Toms Shoes. Those are some of the brands (designers) that I really love and trust.”
