Rumor Mill: Michelle Obama’s $50,000 Lingerie Shopping Spree

The British tabloids recently went on a gossip frenzy, claiming that Michelle Obama went on a $50,000 shopping spree at Agent Provocateur.

Allegedly, she ”closed off part of Madison Avenue to spend time in the luxury lingerie shop” with the Queen of Qatar, Sheikha Mozah, sometime last year. 

Though there is nothing wrong with our First Lady shopping for lingerie, it should surprise absolutely no one that Michelle Obama’s communications director has deemed this rumor ”100 percent false.” 

However, this false story has been attributed to Agent Provocateur’s increased sales. Talk about celebrity branding…
