Evelyn Lozada Responds To Lawsuit, Claims She Was Unaware Ex-Fiance Was Broke

Nearly two months ago, I reported that Evelyn Lozada was in legal trouble for receiving $560,000 from her ex in an alleged attempt to hide money from his creditors. Evelyn then used the money to start Dulce, a shoe boutique (which is often featured on “Basketball Wives”).

Well, now Evelyn claims she did nothing wrong when she accepted over half a million dollars from her ex-fiancé, former NBA star Antoine Walker, because she had no idea he was in debt.

According to court documents, she denies the claim that Walker’s money was used to open her shoe store, Dulce. She says any money she got from Walker was “used for the ordinary living expenses of the [Walker] & his household” & that she was simply an intermediary for Walker.

In addition to making money from Dulce, Evelyn makes nearly $15,000 per episode of “Basketball Wives”, manufactures a popular t-shirt line — & let’s not forget her lucrative deal with Young Money. Not to mention, her fiancé, Chad (formerly Ochocinco) Johnson, is worth a pretty penny. I’m sure she’ll work her way out of this one
